I'll bring a gazebo, some camping chairs, skottle braai and some flyers that I still have left over from the Gauteng Motor show...
All interested parties, please forward me your email addresses and we can do the whole group email thing to arrange for the event.
Please do not hesitate to contact me should you have any further queries in this regard.

Some of us attended the event held yesterday and despite the crappy weather, the turn out of modified and high performance cars where not bad at all.
Some of the cars there included:
E90 M3
Chevy Lumina (new spec)
E30 325is
E30 325is Turbo
Porsche Carrera 4
a few Lotus / Birkin 7's (the ultimate trackday car)
Fiat X19
new unregistered Fiat 500 Abarth
2 x new Astra OPC's
Jaguar XF (new spec)
2 x Ford Focus St's
and lots more....
I also think that the venue for the "cars in the park day" is ideal, despite the fact that the R55 is being upgraded to rid it of all the low profile damaging potholes.

from Motoring 24 webpage:
It is once again time for 'Cars in the Park' when about 2 000 classic and veteran cars will be on display to create that typical nostalgic atmosphere in which old and young thrive while enjoying engineering of the past and the history of the modern car.
Cars in the Park will this year take place on the Sunday 3 August at the Zwartkops Raceway on the western side of Pretoria.
The organisers this year added even more draw cards to the event by introducing an amusement park for old and young as well as daylong action by Land Rover-owners who will be doing their thing at the 4x4 facility of the track.
There will once again be a big selection of exhibits and food stands run by various charities as well as motor clubs such as the Pretoria Motor Club that will once again offer tasty food to one and all on the day.
Parking and traffic flow have been a problem in the past but event manager Frans du Toit confirmed that ample provision has been made to ensure that the public will be able to get in and out of the premises with minimum effort.
A crowd in excess of 15 000 people are expected for the day and visitors are advised to come early, as the gates will open at 07:00 already.

C'mon guys, let's pull together for this one. If you don't have an SX that can make it at least help some other way.
Things I saw at GMS that we could try to get:
- Driver profiles on cars & club members on display (I say we print select garage pages)
- Video footage on display
- Freebies, think of something cheap, but popcorn is a bit shitty
- A competition
- A van with several PS3 & PSP consoles
- Seating
I'll probably be able to go and take the braai with..haven't seen most of you in ages.

Update from Event Organisers... in yellow...
With Sunday 3 August 2008 just around the corner, I would like to take the opportunity to give you the last details of what to expect for the day. As in the past a very large turnout of cars and visitors is expected and for the sake of good order the following arrangements will apply:
The gates will open at 07:00 and we trust that everybody will be settled in for the day before 10:00. It would be appreciated if all the exhibitors would stay until at least 15:00.
Admission is free for up to two people per exhibitor car. The entrance fee for spectators & additional passengers will be R40 for adults and High School learners. Children under 12 years, no charge.
This year we will again use Zwartkops raceway main entrance (Off R55) AS WELL AS the entrance via the R511 (Erasmia) through the Drive in. If you are required to enter the track through gate no 2 it is advisable and recommended that you enter via the R511. The terrain lay-out and allocation of club’s stands can be downloaded from www.pomc.co.za
Members who wish to sell a vehicle must proceed to the For Sale area as indicated on the map. Cost R80. For Sale vehicles are only allowed in the For Sale area.
Your specific Club detail is as follows: Enter through Gate no. 3 and your Stand no is 76. Clubs are requested to arrange for the identification of their members at the gates.
At the entrance gate, you will receive a packet with important documents including a map of the grounds (see Program), with a list of the various Club’s names with stand numbers next to it. You will also receive a certificate for display on your vehicle. Please complete the details thereon.
Facilities will include catering for eats and drinks by different caterers, a PA system, information desk, First Aid, parking for visitors and adequate toilets and rubbish bins.
Braaiing on open fires will definitely not be allowed due to the fire hazard to our prized possessions, feel free to bring your own gas-braai and picnic basket along. Exhibitors will not be allowed to sell any food or drink. As a fire is always a real threat, we earnestly request your members who have access to fire extinguishers to bring these along in case of an emergency.
Attractions include a display of 2500 vintage, classic and new vehicles, flea markets, car accessories and a demarcated area for the display of specially invited “unique” cars and motorcycles. Also a merry-go-round & quad rides for the young, a display of miniature cars as well as a dynamic display on the 4x4 track.
Limited edition posters, calendars, t-shirts and caps will be available at the information stand.
Feel free to bring and exhibit your club banners and regalia, to make your stand eye-catching. You may advertise and sell your club regalia. Boot sales of spares are, however, not permitted.
PM me to confirm exhibition of your car.
Thanks, Nat
