so now we happy that everything around the motor is doing as it supposed to, its time to strip and prep for the new motor.

p.s the old skinny box is taller, wich unfortunately means having a porp made up again... :x

new motors head getting some attention:

we still have a fu(k load of work left on the head, but getting there slowly,
almost 16hrs into the head so far, lets hope its worth it

is that ceramic coating in the combustion chambers? have you tried it before, worth it in your opinion?

i usually just have the pistons ceramic/anti friction coated, would love to hear others experience with it.. :wink:

nope, just sandblasted to clean, makes working in there easier

i agree with the sandblasting - i hooked up my compressor with some sandblasting equipment last weekend after getting some advice from vlade. makes life so easy when it comes to cleaning!!! thanks vlade - good onya mate!

RB - what vlade said - keep those pics coming. motor is looking hotcakes!!!

not too many RBs13's running around on this forum - its nice that you're sharing the pics and the story with us! 8)

plans for coming weekend:

strip and paint engine bay, replace all piping, power steering, etc and rewire (tidy up existing wiring.

still need to manufacture new gearbox mounts, and finish the head..
have +- 2weeks before the head parts arrive, tomei springs and s/s valves to compliment the 256 tomei poncams. :D

willpost some pics after weekend, if we get to it
