That "smoke" you see in your rear view mirror is always there, just at night you see it better with the other cars lights making it look like its smoking black.

Umm with this one you are going to need to read how the AFM and IAT work togeter to return a single voltage to the ECU
I dont want to turn this into an arguement but this is what a MAF does, measures the density and flow of the air through it. This way you dont need an air temp sensor.

ok let me rephrase...

Do you see your exhaust gases in the rear view mirror when you drive at day time? no you dont but you do at night when a car is driving behind you and his lights makes you see the "smoke".

better?

The CA18 has a MAF not a AFM, which measures density/mass of air.

OK never mind I give up
is everything a flippin competition with you??? you seem to be a little hung up over what other people think!

as i understand you've downloaded the maps of the 'net somewhere. how sure are you that the maps you are defending are exactly the same as the stock maps loaded into the stock SA ECU???

also - the program you are using to read and change the maps, how sure are you that it is the same as the one that the nissan engineers used for the SA ECU's???

i say this only to establish some credibility with the claims you are making.

Sorry to be a chop here, but comments like that VC is what makes people leave this Forum. Are you not suppose to set an example?

He was only trying to help out, clearly he has allot of knowledge about ecu's. Much more than allot of other people on this forum....

Why not cut people some slack and stop making rude comments.....

Why must he set an example, because he is a moderator??

Yes he has alot of knowledge about ECU but something simple like how a MAF works is VERY different to how a AFM works. Thinking the Nissan engineers left some slack in the fuel map for us to fit exhausts and cone filters :? , I doubt that. Phinx I aint attcking you, you sent me the software, I had a look at the map I dont believe that that map is the one in our cars; the timing map doesnt even work to the 15degrees we see on idle.

Sorry I have said my bit now, guy continue argueing now  .
