Hey guys. Just want to find out about the aircon.

When I bought my car the aircon was removed (as with all of the other SX's that I looked at). How many of you guys still have your A/C's??

Is it a useless A/C "like an asthmatic blowing through a straw" (Clarkson's words - not mine) or is it only to gain a little bit of power or are they unreliable, etc.

I'm really considering re-installing mine. Any ideas/comments...

Mine works 100%.

On flippen hot days in CPT my car is nice an cool, (inside and out!)

They are not that cold from my experiences, they work off the std management as well and i got my car with a dicktator so had to re wire it.

That's what I was hoping to hear. Will refit mine as soon as I can afford it then. Thx for the opinions guys.

have you changed to the newer gas?

Mine's also running 100% . But then again my car only has 96000 k's on the clock

nope... still stock gas me thinks... but ja it gets cold fast, and when its cold it holds the temp... 45'C in paarl and 18-22'C in car... estimate...

the FSM says that the temp at the airvent outlet should be around 0-2 degrees celcius. so yes - they should work very well.

plus the sx interior fan blows hard (my best!) so it shouldnt be like an asthmatic blowing through a straw!!!

i removed my ca18 aircon equipment and have it all lying in my garage. i nearly had a buyer but the sale fell through, so if anyone wants one - please PM me!
