FS: N60 80mm MAF

Post by Doctor G »

N60 80mm MAF available.

Will post some pics as soon as photobucket stops it's $hit.

This MAF is about double the diameter of a SR20 or CA18 MAF. A must if you wanna make some decent power.

Remove that bottle neck in your system!

Comes with pigtail to wire up to your harness.

Ok here are some pics comparing it to a SR20 MAF. As you can see there is a "little" difference

Okay guys MAF back up for sale. I'm not using it in the next months so may as well let someone else use it who needs it.

BTW it's a N60 maf not a N62. Purple label. Identical diameter to N62 (80mm). Good for 350whp or 260wkw. Looking for a grand onco.

Part number looks like its an AFM for a Nissan Maxima:
1992-89 3.0L (VE30DE, VG30E)

MAX HP rating is : 300HP (About 224KW) around 200RwKw
Pin out: 5 or 6 pins out
Diameter: 80mm

Sorry doctor, I am maxing my current AFM at the same HP.

I don't follow...

N60 is the 3.0 maxima maf yes. Concencus on all forums are that it supports 350whp easily. Basically up to any T28 size turbo. for T3/T4 you may wanna switch to a N62.

I don't know many guys in the club who are looking at more than 250wkw or who are into drag racing setups, so the N60 should be more than enough for 90% of the guys.

What setup are u running?

I am really sorry But I don't want to start an argument the MAF is good for 300Hp , It has been proven to return the max value at around that amount of air-flowed.

The only Nissan MAF that have tested to return 360 HP in one off a RB26DETT but If I remember correctly it has a J90 number instead on a N60

Agreed I am just adding more info about the MAF you have for sale because I have looked at that exact same MAF before

Good Luck with the sale If it was a N62 I would have bought it from you already :)

Not arguing either, but I'm curious. Who did the measurements that showed around 300hp? If the N60 80mm is rated at 300 then why would the 75mm maf (like the one you tried now recently) also do 300hp?

I believe the N62 from a j30/z32/skyline is good for 550hp?

How much power do you anticipate making? I'm up for testing the N60 MAF on your car if you're not aiming for more than 250wkw?

OK let me explain where I am getting my Info from , In Australia modifying the ca18det is common along with other Nissan motors.

Now the company where I bought my tuning software from has a large database of Nissan and non-Nissan MAF's that have been tested and there HP.

The HP is worked out by running a fixed amount of air through the meter and getting the voltage returned then using the VQ map the HP can be worked out now along with feedback from the client this information can be confirmed.

The N60 is a common swap and is found on a wide range of VG30 and VG33 cars and what other clients have picked up the N/A VG30 and VG33 have the same HP for all there MAF's now we can understand why Nissan would do this because it would make it easier to carry over Fueling changes from Gen to Gen and car to car using the same motor.

Now as for my MAF being smaller in size by 5 mm to yours I am not sure why, I do know my MAF is much newer then the N60 and its made by a different manufacture yours is JEC's mine is hitachi so this could account for it.

But It has been confirmed by this company that my maf has the same resolution as yours because it uses the same VQ MAP. Its the same as a N60 vs a N62 they look the same but one can register 500HP.
Maybe the internal is more aerodynamic
I believe the N62 from a j30/z32/skyline is good for 550hp?
The N62 (and I do speak under correction) was only found on the 300zx. I do know as a fact that the skyline range of cars and motors used different mafs and a common upgrade it to swap over to a N62 or Q45 MAF on those cars.
How much power do you anticipate making? I'm up for testing the N60 MAF on your car if you're not aiming for more than 250wkw?
I will max at the same level as my MAF
