Its from one of the automatic 240sx in the states IIRC
I like that you can switch the HUD from km to mi tho.
I think there is some wiring/sensor changes if you want to put it in our model tho. Read about it last year sometime while browsing.

Nope that's from the proper 180sx in japan.
i don't understand . . . you mean the rest of them aren't "proper" ?
every SX i've ever seen, (here or in Japan) has the same or similar dash i have in my car
The electronic speedo with the analogue tacho are not on all s13s. Which sx do you have?
The 240sx one looks similar to the one in vc's pic but the tacho only goes to 8k, not 9k like that one.
The PROPER 180sx (which says 180sx on the rear filler pannel between the tail lights with the CA18DET) came with those clusters.
Our local s13's are NOT proper 180sx's. They're labelled 200sx but with CA18 motors. The actual 200sx's in japan were s13's with SR20's. So we are somewhere in between.
as far as i know they're all the same car....except for the USA version 240SX that has a KA24 motor

The Nissan 180SX was a hatchback coupe (though Nissan marketed it as a fastback in most of its markets) based on the S13 chassis from the Nissan S platform, and sold only in Japan (although sold in some other countries under the 200SX name). It was sold as a sister model to the Nissan Silvia from model year 1989 through 1998. The S13 Silvia was discontinued in 1993, but the 180SX was successful enough to convince Nissan to keep it in the market for the full length of the next generation Silvia's tenure. The 180SX differed from the S13 Silvia in that it featured pop-up headlamps, and a fastback roof with a liftgate. Specifications and equipment were similar, however the naturally-aspirated CA18DE engine was not offered.
The name 180SX was originally in reference to the 1.8 liter displacement CA18DET engine used in the chassis. In 1991, however, the engine was upgraded to a 2.0 liter model, offered in two forms: the naturally-aspirated SR20DE engine and the turbocharged SR20DET variant. Although the new engine was of larger displacement, the 180SX nomenclature remained. A common body modification to the 180SX and its sister car, the North American 240SX fastback, is the Sileighty conversion.
180SX was also a trim level of the S110 Silvia in Europe. The badges for this model read "Silvia 180SX", so this car is not properly a 180SX by model, but a version of the Silvia instead.
Like the Japanese 180SX SR20DET discrepancy, European, as well as South African models of the S13 chassis were called 200SX though equipped with the CA18DET engine.
The 180sx which say 180sx on it with the CA18 engine had that cluster.
None of the local sx's had that. So to answer VC's question, it came from the japanese 180sx which Yes, is the true 180sx.
you had me doubting myself there for a second....so i spent the past hour searching the web for pics of Japanese RS13's with the HUD type cluster..... i couldn't find a single one
All the CA18DET engined versions of the Japanese 180SX (RS13) that i found have exactly the same cluster as the SR20DET engined versions (RPS13)
...or maybe i'm not looking in the right places . . . can you give a link to where you got your info from?
Here's a link to an RS13 that was for sale in Japan....it shows pics of the 180SX rear garnish, CA18DET engine, and the same cluster that the South African 200SX has. http://www.todoroki-trading.com/stock/n ... ck107.html
PS. i'm really not trying to be a smart-ass....just trying to get some clarity on the subject.
Im not trying to be a smart ass either but that pic is from a left hand drive car.
How do I know this, look at the wiper blade and compare the position to your car.
Secondly I think that pic is from an automatic as it has the cruise control light which I also think was only found in automatics back then(not sure so don't start saying how stupid I am)
Hence why I said its from a 240 and I have previously seen pics somewhere, just cant remember where.
Ero, looking at that I'd say they must have swapped out the analogue tacho dial with one from another cluster. The rest of the cluster is definitely 240 but non of the 240's came with a 9k rpm cluster. (don't think std KA motors can even rev to 7k )
Here is a stock 240 cluster: Notice everything is identical to vc's pic except the tacho.
