Well, Im slowly but surely modding my SX.
Thoughts in the beginning was to do the suspension first and then performance. But as we all know it! The urge to push the limits is always there!
So..... I figured out what is done with the car when I bought it. Here it goes:
1. Boost turned up to 0.9Bar. (Was like that when I bought the car)
2. S14 turbo exhaust housing and exhaust turbine wheel. ( Modded when I recon the turbo.)
3. Clutch strengthened with stronger pressure plate. (Does slip after heavy abuse - thats with 145kw on the flywheel)
4. Mags and Tires: 225/45/17 tires and Zax Classic 17" mags. (Black with polished lip.)
5. Lowering springs. (35-40 mm)
This is my latest mods......
1. BOV - R450.00 from SA Autopart. LOUD, VERY VERY LOUD
2. Boost Gauge - R480 from SA Autopart. Autogauge electronic boost gauge. Works very well and looks super sweet!
Mods that are next that I still need to fit...
1. Backbox - R500 from SA Autoparts. 76mm inlet with a 110mm outlet. will be put on a 63mm exhaust that expands to a 76mm to accomodate the backbox for less restriction. Will be doing exaust from the turbo.
Boost Controller - R250?? Private Buy. Manual Boost Controller. Will fit to see if it works...?
Up to date the SX is making 145kw on the fly with 256nm torgue. The goal with my SX is to make as much torque as I can with standard internals and use the standard turbo casing but modify the internals.
Also to come:
-Port and flow head, valves, cams ect....... (Still doing research)
-Turbo internals, powercote casing.....
-KA24DE throttle body.
-Intake manifold mods.....(Research is still on)
-Water and Meth ( Chem, this is where you come in!

-FMIC, not very big. (still deciding on water&meth with FMIC or without FMIC).
