Narf... Got an issue... above 0.6 bar

Post by Vlade »

Okay this one got me going as well... struggling to figure out whats causing it...

First issue what is the stock boost a T28 from S14 will provide... Mine only gives 0.4bar, bit weird thought it should be like 0.7

Second. Above 0.6 the car surges, but extremely bad (it feels like your slamming brakes) then it backfires once or twice then goes...

I got my theory on the second issue, but I first want to hear some other peoples opinion.

huh? i thought surging was when the car accelerates quickly and unexpectedly!

not the other way around.

and stock boost on an s14 should be 0.7 or so???

whats your theories?

loss of fuel pressure... I think or lack there off...

yeah then my actuator is also stuffed... But to proof it, I'll need to source another actuator to test first.

you could use an air compressor and a regulator, or your boost gauge to test at what pressure the actuator is moving???

Hehe... might work... I'll start sourcing an actuator rather.

my bike started doing that (no turbo) - it was due to lectrix not 'chanical :
power off, fuel goes into zorst, lotsa uncompressable fuel in pots, "brake slam" , power on, BAM!, goes like bomb

sorted now

If you want a big fire in that engine you need to give it fuel.

Also check your de-acceleration enleanment settings, actually turn it off for now.

Vlade have you got the jap spec motor......just test something in anyway....your wolf should not loose it's settings, disconnect the battery like you resetted the old ECU and see if it does the same....
