i have the same one as Gary and VC i believe...although its lying amoungst many other SX parts at home. I wish there was a way to adjust it so it only opens above 0.5 bar (if you get what i mean) then id put it back on

isnt there a screw on top of the BOV???

by tightening it you preload the spring, thus making it release at a higher pressure!

but i am not sure what the standard pressure release setting of our BOV's is, mostly because mine has also been lying around for a long time without being installed!

Chem if yours is sequential why is it opening on idle?? A sequential BOV with an adjustment defeats the object of it being sequential.

How so Gary? I obviously dont understand the whole sequential thing. Doesnt it having 2 "pistons" make it sequential, with the one staying closed on idle.

And i cant figure out how to unscrew mine to somehow make the spring tighter i.e only open under more pressure

Quality, that is all. We opened the thing, and it was weared out. Just quality I think is the issue. It is a cheap BOV. It used to work well. Then I ended up with the idle issue. We cleaned it, service it, and is now working again. But I for see not for long.
You set the screw, then it is not opening at all with pressure release. Then you set the screw opposite, the bov sounds lekka, but then not closing properly or not closing in time, like sticking.
So, the in between is not lekka.
It worked fine for a year or so. Not any more. it belongs in the dustbin!!

i'm a little worried that you might be taking this whole dustbin thing too far!

A BOV will dump the air when the pressure difference across the valve is greater than the spring strength.
