Your nozzle choice will determine the amount of atomization the pump delivers but a standard NOS fanspray nozzle & jet works fine for most applications - From the same site

Mario, very nice. Explain to me how this site that you have sourced, differs ? Meaning: it is still a kit. Which is fine. What was wrong with my idea of buying say a snowperformance kit? What is your definition of DIY. I also purchased the kit and installed it myself. That was my DIY. What will the cost be for all those part numbers quoted compared to snowperformance kit, like Draco bought? Did you see that pump Mario. it is a monster of a pump. It looks exactly like the snowperformance pumps. it is called SUREFLOW I think.
Also Aqua mist have similar kits and they are local.

But you know what is important? Forget the arguments. Get the w/m fitted. You wont regret. And then we can chat lekka about the science of it all.

Go for it. I want you also to enjoy the benfits of our so called "band Aid" system     A Calibrator comment and others, not mine

Let us know how it goes.

Again I am so interested in the NOS nozzles. I would like to manufacture a certain size nozzle for my w/m injection.

I am a bit worried about the spray pattern of these nos nozzels. But we need to investigate. 8) 8) 8)

Dont get me wrong, nothing wrong with what you said at all.

Like in the site all parts is sourced from different places and so on, snowperformance does the whole kit - everything you need.

I want to try and source all of these part or replacement part at our local south african suppliers and compared the costs.

If you can do it right for a cheaper price, why not. Yes it is gona take allot of my time and time is bloody money! but atleast we will know that we can do it.

Its just about being able to do it. Its my project for now.

Will find out about the nos jets, will phone a few places tomorrow. As much as I could understand u shouldnt go to small with the size of nos jet cause you will not get the right spray pattern.

Cost wise, that guy on the site after bying all of those parts and installing it cost him half of what snowperformance kit would cost.

Thats what made me do this project.

just a bit of background on this...

I made my own kit for a golf and golly it does work but I used a bit of an engineering brain and some mad skills.

I used a snow performance tank, used normal vacuum pipes, and you will laugh your asses off ja...a nozzle of one of those weed poison spray tanks.(its nice coz its adjustable)

Now NA cars run on a vacuum when on idle and no vacuum when on throttle.
(Aspirated cars run on boost when on throttle.)

My first try was when I was running a Modded 1.3 Carb golf. I had a 36dcd on and modded the carb with a injection needle(like a jet) and the principal of air(flow) over anlge = vacuum. the vacuum then caused the water to start flowing when throttle is open and stop when the throttle is closed. I mounted it on the second stage butterfly of the of the carbs. It worked great and I got the 1.3 golf up to 65 kw on a cam racing fuel and water.

Then It receiced a heart transplant and got a 1.8 8valve Fuel injection motor managed by a Mr. Turbo fmi. Now on this it was a bit differnt. I couldnt mount the needle inside the TB coz of obvious reasons. So I had to make some minor ajustmets...he he thats where the PC came in handy! I mounted it into the CAI pipe at an anlge to maximize the spray effect.

I used my windscreen washer Bottle as a reservoir and connected a that nozzle onto it. I made a return line from the "feed" pipe back into the tank using a injection needle to manage the amount of water. On the Mr. Turbo system they have an Auxillary "channel" cable which I set to a rpm range and then it powers up the little windscreen washer pump which then squirts water into the mix with the air an that lowers the air temp going into the engine which inturn lets more air and fuel in which = more power with a bit of water helping the burnout!

He he mad I know but hell it works!

Dont try it on your own tho!

Great, Nice, I enjoyed this reading. 8)

And did you advance some timing too?

Yes lately w/m is fully controllable and you get electronic safeguard goodies.

I have the latest version UNICHIP and can now control my w/m with one of the outputs from that unichip. So with my next dyno, I will ask the tuners to do just that. On the moment it get triggered from the AFM. And I dont like that. It works fine, but I am uncomfortable with this 17 year old sensors.

Also the Unichip can control boost.

That kit is decent. A friend of mine had it on his VW jetta fsi and he got 179kw tuned by Robbie F. So if you wanna go that route do your thing but make sure you dont go DIY. You will most prolly mess it up! Let the Pros do it!

I think that is the kit Draco and Chemcool have, it is a good kit. Go to Snowperformance.net and read about it.

That is not a bad price, just check, the pick seems to be the digital trigger system like Chemcools but the discription suggests the manual trigger like mine, mine uses boost pressure to activate, it seems that price is for the manual kit, the digital one will most properly be more.

I got mine for R2500,kit + installed and car dynod.
