Your SX stutter is not from fuel pressure. Bring it back and we will sort it out.

my stock one had been "massaged" (by the previous owner) with a hammer to increase the pressure.

i got an adjustable one, with a gauge, set it to the stock pressure level, and BAM - car was running nicely again!

Yeah I see it pointless to fit one if there is nothing wrong with the stock one.

Ok point taken.

I would like to get a new fuel pump at least tho. This 'stutter' of mine is the same as when I'm low on fuel. I think the fuel pump has been tampered with before, but I'm not sure. Also, when I say my sx is low on fuel I mean its below the last line before the yellow (which isn't really that low). This makes me think the fuel pump may have been taken out and reinstalled to high or something, but this is just speculation.

it would be a little difficult and stoopid to install it too high???

but you never know unless you investigate yourself i guess!!!

maybe there is a blockage there or something???

maybe a slight leak???

you checked all the hoses and hard pipes???

This sounds like it could be the problem, my pickup in the tank is also a bit high, my fuel light does not even come on yet then the car starts to stutter, even when I don't stand level and the petrol is low it starts with the shit.....

I'd say look into it....
