@ Gary - ok if you can use a bit thicker oil for my car, if your dad has already done it then dont worry. Sorry for hi jacking thread.

mine started leaking when I changed from mineral 20W-50 to 10w-40 synthetic after my run in, so has Freddy's and Toby's...

I guess I was lucky, the only thing that leaked oil was my tappet cover because it always kept on coming loose a bit....it still does...

hey draco...

mine kept on doing this too.

i found that because the seal is a big fat rubber thing, when you tighten on screw, the others are left slightly loose.

my solution:

i used lock-tite on the thread of the screws, and i kept tightening in a similar pattern to the headbolts (for example). and then i left it for a while to let the lock-tite set. after that - no problem.

Ja that is fine Riekert, I ran mine on that from the start. The previous owner had synthetic in and that was just a waste!

ok so why pay a hell of a lot more when you have to change the oil at the same time and it does the same thing. Prove to me that synthetic oil is better!

Maybe that is noobnyness!!!

If its so good for your car why dont they use it in the WRC? Why dont they use it in F1? or any other motorsport????

It is a sales trick just to make more money out of noobs!
