The event was awesome, especially for the sx club! Unfortunately the weather turned for the worse early on and spoiled the day. We all got soaked in the rain, had to abandon the gazebo, pack everything up and shelter under the grand stand. This didn't prevent the drifters from putting on a show, with Florin and Jayboy showing real class under the treacherous conditions. The SX club got our moment of glory when we did our parade lap and showed off our cars to the enthusiastic crowd. We had a new record attendance of about 18 cars! Maybe more. The event was cancelled after the drift show due to the bad weather. Hopefully the next one doesn't get rained out...

Toby only forgot 1 thing, thanks to Hotstuff for organising the caps/stickers/banner!
The rain made it challenging but as with all athletics that rain out the spirit of the crowd couldn't be washed away.
I hope our parade laps were caught on Video from the outside. Widowmaker was my co-pilot and also got some footage on my camera. Youtube here he come
The drifters were mindbogglingly good considering the conditions, with speeds still high enough to raise your blood pressure.
George it looked liked you were driving on a mirror of liquid metal from T2 with all that water.

hah, I would love to get vids of the drifting. But I culdnt take vids, cuz my memory card was already full
And, erm.. sum of my photos are a bit blurry
cuz I was taking photos with one hand in the rain
But the other photos that are clear looks great, and the club drive by and line up I got on vid. The popping headlights look awesome, and I think it shuld be a 200sx club 'thing' to pop the headlights up and down for an event

Oh, btw... I was feeling like making a music vid of the event
so I'll post it up once its done.. though if anyone can sponsor more video material from yesterday, especially if anyone caught the drifting.. it will be greatly appreciated
Cuz it seems I only got enough for about 1:30 min.. lol

Yeah thanks for everyone pitching it was a record event for the SX club 18 cars in total (IIRC)
Pitty about the rain, feel bit sorry for Otto his car just didn't perform in the rain, but big up to Florin, Johnathan, George and Charl they put up an excellent show despite the weather.
Hotstuff bigup for the massive organizing on your behalf, Qwerty for the braai, Chemcool for braai'ing my meat again
Toby for coffee
