Skimmed Head??

Hi guys

I think my head has been skimmed a bit over eagerly. Any solutions? The guy at dastek also rekons so cause if you boost more than .7bar the car starts to detonate.

Whats the timing set to?

You could buy a thicker MHG than the standard size, just dont ask me where :?

did you do a compression test.....compare yours to what the manual says...

I dit do a comp test and its a bit lower than the manual say, but they are all the same. Dont trust the gauge that much thou.

If your compression is lower than the manual I would not say that is your problem....I suspect it is a bit lower than the manuel says....so even if the guage is not on the dot it is not a big factor.

I actually have the same problem, comp readings are way low, but even on all cylinders.

havent tried another gauge yet though and i did it with a cold engine wich affects results. I 1st need to sort my radiator problem and then il move onto that

Me and freddy also got low readings, I don't know what his is reading now but mine read the same after my rebuild.....

My car just goes kak, acording to the dyno printout it whent from 105kw @ 5500rpm before the chip to 132kw@ 6000 after. I belive thats on the wheels.
