S14 REAR Quarter Glass and Moulding

Post by MyPRodOL »

Hallo

Have any of you fitted a s14 rear quarter glass window on s14?

My roof was resprayed and along two new rear quarter glass window & mouldings were replaced, but the gaps on the mouldings are bad, the don't align to the body on the roof.

I know there is a small gap when staock, but this is nasty, like 1 cm. Anybody with same probemo?

PG auto glass fitted this and I was there to check that they don't screw it up.

I did some research

Apparently the s14 rear quarter window is a K@K one to fit, and the PG aotoglass, don't know how to. There is a precise method, I'm trying to get it from Nissan.

I didn't except, they are redoing it.
To bad for them, because to tale those out without scratching the paint is near impossible, they gona have to brake them and get new ones. 4k a piece.

I got a break through...

behind the Quarter window you can find three 3cm white pins, and there is a white clip as-well, when the window is not fitted correctly, the clips don't align, and then the window does not go in all the way, so thats why there's the huge gaps everywhere on the mouldings.

Solved.

Now they just need to order two new ones and fit them right... :(

Oh dear...
