Gearbox scratching

Wondering who can help,

my s13 has got a slight scratch in the gearbox when i change gears. but is only if i really gun the car.

if i drive normal its fine, no scratching......

its nothing major, its selects perfectly. doesnt even struggle to go into next gear.

Possibly the synchro ring for that gear. A replacement synchro is about R1600 from Nissan.

What do you mean? You don't need to replace it until it becomes so bad that you can't get it into the gear (starts crunching everytime you do). So you're still a long way from that.

If you ask nicely you can get an entirely "new" aka +/- 60k kms gearbox form japan auto for R1750...

Yes you are right, our box is a 2L skyline box
