WANTED:200sx
Hey peeps, I am brand new to the forum- just wanna say "hey" and I am now glad to be a member of this great forum.
I am looking for a 200 sx around 91/92 models. I would appreciate any tips/help/advise on how/what to look for when shopping for this ride. Also , what would be a "decent" price to pay.
A few questions:
Did they ever come with leather interior?
Do they all have ABS?
Did they come with LSD?
Are the models between 91-94 the same? Are these the "S 13's"
Thanx in advance
Schweet!

Nope, but you do get some with leather interior, most have blueish cloth.zupp wrote:Did they ever come with leather interior?
Yip, all SA models have ABSzupp wrote:Do they all have ABS?
Yip, but only VLSD which is pretty useless for driftingzupp wrote:Did they come with LSD?

Nope... From 94 you started to get the S14 which looks like a coupe camry, they were around till 97 I think.zupp wrote:Are the models between 91-94 the same? Are these the "S 13's"
Great cars... Price depends on condition, they start around R30K but expect to fork out money to fix it, for R55K you can pickup a decent condition S13, S14's start at late R60K but then condition is also not so good, R80K you are looking at a decent model.

theres a lot of them on this forumzupp wrote:I am looking for a 200 sx around 91/92 models.

(and be careful what you wish for!)
(and no amount of LSD will help you sometimes)
They cheap to buy, but not so cheap to look after.
Very nice cars to have though.
I'm dying to have another 1 again.
If you get an S13 (can't comment on S14) you will most likey need to replace 1 or 2 worn out parts, unless the last owner just did that, in which case the car wont be cheap. Insurance isnt too bad if you shop around.
I paid R580 a month. That's just a bit more than my friend with his Citi Golf and we both under 25.
Fuel, well it drinks more than a Golf, but then it rapes a Golf so it's worth that lattle extra.
Oh and engine an suspension parts etc and not that hard to find, its body part and interior parts that are a mission.
So if you looking at 2 identical cars and 1 has a busted shock and brake disk while the other has a broken window, avoid the 1 with the broken window.
My 2c.

Are you serious! Thats so sad. With abit of money my old SX would have been ok. What an A Hole. I want to punch him in the face.Have you seen your old one?? The guy has complete distroyed it. Brokens bumpers, full of scratches, smokes like a train. He cant afford to fix it but he can afford to get a personalise number plate Confused .
people have been banned by just mentioning the golf name - and you go and compare the two???
I was just stating how much better the SA is than the most popular car in SA. You the same price as a new G*** you can get an S13 and mod it a bit and it's better in every way. Why be a sheep and get the most popular car in SA when every second person has 1.
But I would say it's best to buy the car in cash. Straight off. Paid for in full.
That way you will be in debt on for the parts you just bought to replace the old worn out once. That was my biggest lesson. Next one I get I will only get if i can pay for it in full.

Its way better that to owe money, and not spend it on the SX
