I have done a front caliper rebuild (Z32 front). The kit is IDENTICAL to the bmw 518i, cost me R34.00 for the fronts. The pad cost R695 for Ferodo.

The kits you can get from a local spares shop. It is really such a easy job to do.

Ja I took in the caliper and asked for a kit, they matched it up to the 518i BMW. It comes with the o-rings, dust covers, dust cover spring clips, everything you need.

If the manual say dot 3 use dot 3. Some of the rubber seals on dot 3 are dodgy on dot 4. Sure the SX all use dot 4? Dot 4 is handles higher temps etc.

Yes dot 4 is fine. Is has some aditives to take the higher temp to prevent brake fade. You can also use dot 5 which is silcone based, all much of a muchness.

rather go for DOT 5.1 than DOT 5 or if you really want something nice then Motul RBF600.
