Once again, lots of work this weekend.
I do not have the RB26 specific power steering pump nor do I have it`s bracket . Off with the NEO stuff, measure up and home we go to my workshop.
A bit of scratching through my old Alfa Romeo stuff and I find a pump and assorted pulleys. Now the Nissan stuff is all press fitted to the shaft and trust me, it does not just come off.
Strip the pump so I can get the shaft, cut the pulley outer off and put it in the lathe. A few hours later and I have a bolt on flange on the pump with a choice of Alfa pulleys to bolt on. Great stuff.

Also made some ally flanges and stuff which I quickly welded up this morning before work.( I`m here at 5:30 already...)

On Saturday I discovered that the battery feed cables were all strapped to the fuel lines.
Anyone ever had a battery cable short out ? I have , trust me , nothing survives close to that cable.

The brake lines !! Man, I do not know why I had not looked at them before. When the abs pump was removed "new" lines were fitted.
Ferule fittings were used and some were simply "t"`d to supply the fronts.
Ill get new Bundy tubing and re make all the piping including fuel feeds and clutch .

The inner tunnel was also just smacked in with a hammer. Starter , bell housing, rear of engine all touching the body work.

Then there the under bonnet wiring...........Eish...

This is really turning into a medium term project here ...not what I wanted ! :? :?

its always like that Barry what seems to be a small job never is you will always spot things that need to be addressed but its a good thing had you not spotted the fuel lines attached to the batt line that could have really gone bad and you might have lost the car cuz of it.

A lot of behind the scenes stuff. Got all the bundy and fittings for the brake lines, throttle body purchased and modified, lots of silicon tube and bends (holy sh*t, that stuff is expensive !!)
Lots of ally fabrication and welding , making up pipes , overhauling the power rack etc, etc.

Nothing to post pics about but hell, I have really made a bed for myself here..

I am more than certain that you would love sleeping in this one!! With your attention to detail this car will be nothing less than spectacular.

On another note, it is funny how many small things one needs once you start.....and some of those small things can get expensive easily, especially if you buy the proper stuff.

Good luck though!! :D
