thanks
"And good idea about the engine bay. had a similar idea in mind with my setup initially." theres something about anodized purple parts that i love, personally also for what i have in mind the dark body colouring with the white interior/engine bay and purple highlight/accent colours will really make the purple "pop"
sent you a pm about the CA18 setup
an update,
started removing the engine and surrounding components on sunday and monday eve,
bumper stiffener
intercooler, brackets and piping
intake and maf
fan shroud, radiator and hoses - overflow tank
complete A/C system, compressor, condensor, pipes etc (wont be keeping A/C, a lot of weight that stuff actually)
basically left now is unbolt engine from exhaust, mountings and gearbox, remove engine harness, power steering lines, fuel lines then take it out...
kinda how it use to look..
kinda how it looks now
got pics of the whole process so have to sort through and post it, may take a while and going to be extremely boring to a lot of you
so yay, slowly moving on

Re: Nirvash - Type Zero - S13
update:
so in my bid to document the process of my car,
here is the rear seat removal and boot carpet removal:
really simple job
all you need is a screw driver
to start of here are the seats in question
open your boot, notice the parcel shelf
unfasten the parcel shelf strings on the inside of the boot lid, remove shelf
next, pull up both tabs/hinges on either side/top corner of the backrest of the rear seats to unfasten the backrest
the previous step was to allow you access to the screws holding the rail which fastens the boot carpet to the back seats
undo the screws on the rail
fold backrest and carpet down
remove carpet (my brother in the background being enthusiastic )
remove backrest
for the lower part of the seat you simply click both tabs, each under where the passenger would sit,
remove bottom half of seat
simple,
done

Re: Nirvash - Type Zero - S13
so once the back seats have been taken out its time to take out the seat belts and brackets,
all you need is a socket and wrench, i cant remember which socket but either 10, 12 or 14mm will be needed, and maybe an extension
for the part on the seat it simply 1 bolt, simply removed
obviously there one on either side, removed both
then for where it attaches to the side of the car theres 1 bolt, when you remove it it will roll up to the to mount and mechanism
both sides
the last point where the seat belt attaches in by the rear quarter window,
simply work/pull the plastic cover of the seat belt mechanism/bracket
then there is again just 1 bolt that needs to be removed, its quite close to the window so be REALLY careful when removing, dont slip that wrench, we all know how expensive those windows are
with the bolt removed its still attached on the bracket (but loose), that must just be slid out
then done

Re: Nirvash - Type Zero - S13
so next i thought i'd remove those rear speakers that no one should have the torture of listening to
all you'l need is some screw drivers maybe a small wrench and sockets
first you can pull off the grid/grill covering the speakers
next you can remove the plastic panel covering the speaker bracket, it just screws off
next i just cut the speaker wires, for some reason mine ran through here where you get to the rear shock mount
pull the interior lining away from the metal bracket holding the speaker, to get to the screws fastening it
the metal bracket that the whole speaker is mounted to is held on by i think 3 screw, in the middle and both sides
remove the screws and take of the bracket and speaker

Re: Nirvash - Type Zero - S13
so next step,
taking out the interior lining on the sides of the back of the car
it is attached on the floor in a couple places by screws
then its attached on the sides by these plastic rivets that must be pried/flat screw drived off
its then just a a question of pulling it away from the body work
it gets quite hard to pull of in one piece when it gets to the bracket that holds the back seat rest in place (which i said i removed earlier but must have been after this ) and the back side arm rest panel,
just work and pull at it while moving the back side arm rest away and it should come out
then you can just pull it away and remove
