Oil filter shoot out!!! WTF!!!
I serviced my car yesterday it takes a GUD Z350 oil filter, is that the right one? in the GUD guide book that one is actually for the SR20, but the one advised for the CA18 doesn't even fit!! but non the less i'v been fitting the Z350 for the last 3 services no problem.
so yesterday i tried fitting it, it turns on twice and then it pops completely off!! then you take the old z350 filter (that just came off) and it turns on and fasten no problem!? after a hour struggle i went to another midas and bought another oil filter (i thought that one was a dud or some thing) fitted it and it went on but i didn't want to strip it but it went on quite tightly.
then after the service i drove all the way to krugersdorp from Pretoria, just as i reach krugersdorp (thank God!!) the filter pops off, all the oil out ( and this happened without driving hard, it was raining cats and dogs)
so this morning i went and bought another 5l oil and a fram oil filter. fit it and it turns on much better, got it to fasten tightly no problem, top oil up, start it and it idled for 2 seconds!!! poped the filter off, all the oil out!! WTF!!
any advice please i don't know what to do anymore!! as far as i can tell the the thread is still fine on the block but im no expert. what can i do!? or call
thanks oaks

I've only ever used Z197 filters on the CA.
But yeah, that problem sounds crazy man.

CA takes the Z197, SR takes the Z350
MASSIVE difference between the 2. 350 is small and IIRC uses a different thread.

Same thing here, was using the z350 for years, and then all a sudden it pops off after accident, so we check the thread, and it was different, but I had a oil filter sandwich plate that screws over the stock thread. Perhaps check if you don't have a sandwich plate with an adapter with different thread on?
Out of personal experience fram oil filters are shit, go watch some youtube of them being cut open.... Get GUD or original OEM

Z197 on mine. Fits perfect. Just check the size of the base on the filter housing. My car had a smaller filter on when I got it, but it just covered the base. I got a Z197 and used them for the last 10 000km's and no problems.

On the first service I did with my S13 (CA18DET) I used an OEM Nissan oil filter (part # 15208H890C)
That's eerily strange that it pops out, could it not be the PCV?

Guys, be extremely aware of the fact that local distributors-Argus Motors, Benoni- and others, have sent locally made parts to china to be copied.
I know it for a fact, even the Payen head gasket boxes are printed with the Payen colours and logo.
We are getting prime shit from the chinks and you have to be aware of all this.
NGK spark plugs, if there's a casting ring around the porcelain part, DON'T BUY IT !
It s a rip off. Read the Engrish on the packaging, most times you can pick it up like that.
Look at the quality of the printing, on the packaging as well as the item itself.
If the printer has seen better days and its printed a gazillion parts already smudging everything, run.
I also do not trust any Midas or Bunnies Spares or what ever the place is called.
Educate your self and then buy your parts for your car.
