Rear Speakers

What size are the rear speakers in the sx?? How do they mount?? Reason I ask is I got my hands on un uncut parcel shelf [smilie=200sx_rockon.gif]

. I am trading mine with the holes cut out of it for one with no holes.

i think they are those crappy paper coned 4x6 oval things. could even be smaller. they also have a yellowish/cream coloured plastic mounting bracket thingy - similar to the front.

What did you put in there place?? Dont suppose many people have modify them to take bigger speakers.

with some mods you can get a 5 1/4" speaker in there, but it will take some serios angermanagement after all the vloeking and stuff.

yeah, if you throw away the plastic thing like i did, then you have to rearrange the sheet metal. that may take some swearing!!!

i did some measurements and i dont think it would be a big deal to fit the 5 1/4" speakers in there, but 6" would need some work!

all i've done is measure though - i dont have speakers in those stock mounting holes. i doubt i will put any in there too!
