Kwl, thanks ouens!
If she looks pretty and got a bit more oomph ill c if i can join you guys at a meeting.
My oom het n Stock CA18DET in n geel datsun gehad so in 2001, hy het die 1/4mile in 12 Dood gedoen teen 205km/h en 800 teen 245km/h...die kar was gegear om so 306km/h te doen met n 308 diff, so as alles goed gaan sal ek n soortgelyke setup bou, alternatief kyk ek na n L28 motor (Ek weet dis nie almal se keuse nie) maar toevallig is die oom ook gevaarlik met die motors, daar was n Datsun wat 389whp gemaak het op .9 bar by smart racing waarmee hy lank terug gehelpe het, ons sal dan net natuurlik n beter haar droer opsit en forged internals...
Hou duim vas vir die toekoms

Re: My 200sx and the issues (Pics ADSL)
Just a quick update
It all started with a new low km motor ( Any one want a 8 port head? - pm me ill give a price there)

Then we went this far..........

I fitted the pump from OPR (This pump seems to work very well!)
THX OPR

And will also fit a 044, this will be fed through a surge tank

Got this full gasket set from Alert spares (I DID NOT USE THE HEAD GASKET, RATHER BUY A PAYEN they work)
While i was busy i got a heavy duty cam belt and some new tensioners ans.

Will update pics as i get the parts back from engineering ans....got a load of pics to load...
Parts awaiting:
Energy full suspension bush kit
Custom flywheel
Clutches
Top mount manifold (in production)
Parts still to buy/manufacture
Surge tank for fuel
Exhaust
Injectors
Intercooler and piping
Oil pump
Fuel pressure regulator
I just urgently need a new oil pump.................aaarrrrggggg
(Harder to get them than i thought Nissan charges R2800, so im considering a dry sump setup)

Nice one man...
Any specific reason you kept it CA and opted not to do the SR swap?

Re: My 200sx and the issues (Pics ADSL)
Thanks Daniel
@Hotstuff... i like the Ca18det because they are the under dogs but very capable...people expect allot less from a Ca18 so that should give me the element of surprise. To my knowledge i only know of about 4 ca18det which was/is really potent able to do 190km/h+ passes on the quarter mile locally. (Like Dereks cab)
I could of build the Sr20 (which i already had a high powered sr20de in a sentra, and we did turbo conversions where the sr's easily make 440whp @ 1.5 bar boost on racing fuel)...but its been done before and sr20's are too main stream these days since everyone goes for the SR motors.
I actually got allot more items, but i will post as we go along, hopefully we will assemble the motor by the weekend.

Re: My 200sx and the issues (Pics ADSL)
Thx bud
Just an update on this side
Stripped off the front bumper to fit the front mount intercooler

Cleaned the motor for assembly...Then found my 4th cylinder valves to be leaking on the head..luckily i checked. Nothing a quick lapping of the valves cant fix.

Started with the bottom end....

My new flywheel which will go in to be hardened this week

My new ATI gauge holder with gauges popped in (Item sits right behind steering wheel)

Now i need to source the fuel lines, electrical wiring to fit battery in the boot and i will order the exhaust silences this week to fit a 76mm next week
Thought about getting a sticker and to fit it above the 1.8 turbo sticker at the rear wit the words "Paper motor"
Hehe
