need advice whitch engine is reliable and economical

Hi I bought my s13 whith a sized engin (it ran whitout oil) would the ca 18 be a good choise or should I rather go for a sr 20 DET I have a 60-2 diktator management in the car is standard otherwise or is there a aternative option like a rb26 and would I have to change the gearbox aswell

i would sugest a SR.. with the stock management if possible..
