Speedometre Stop Working

Hi guyz could you please advise me regarding my S13 Speedo.
This morning on my way to work I noticed that my speedometre stopped working Have any of you had such a concern and what would the possible causes be. I thank you kindly in advance for your kind assistance.

Stopped completely?
Id first check if the sensor on the box is plugged in. Then trace the cable to the junction by the battery, I've had it once that the cable pulled out of that plug by the battery.
After that I would check the continuity from the ecu to the junction.

The cluster is reported to be problematic, but typically the needle bounces instead of just dying out of the blue. Also I wouldnt know about the speed sensor itself, I believe the FSM has a test proceedure.

If the odometer still works but the speedo does not - it is the gauge.
If the odometer also does not work - it is wiring or the speed sensor.

My gauge just died suddenly. I tried re-soldering it three times, but to no avail. Eventually just replaced it.

Google is your friend, there are many guides on how to fix the speedo.
