ok i had the same problem cleaning it wont help u need to open it and look where the button pushes down on the contact its not pushing enough what i did was put a small blob of solder where the button pushes down. i could do it for you but you will need to send it down to me. if you want i can strip my one and post a pic for you if you dont understand what im saying

I will check it out first and if I dont come right I will ask you for the pics. The other thing that worries me is the switch doesnt allow for the second switch to work. i.e. the switch that allows the window to roll down or up automatically. Do you think this has something to do with the problems I am having?

Maybe the switch is faulty if you got a a multimeter test if its making contact

I have a multimeter however I cant seem to get continuity through the switch, ( I am not the best when it comes to electronics though). I have a feeling the switch is to blame. Just need another switch to test and see if it is the problem. Will try check it out over the weekend.
