Accidental 1.5Bar boost

Post by Gary57 »

I have been fiddling with my boost controller trying to get my boost to 1Bar, thanks for the help Mr Calibrator I finally got it responding and controlling. While I was in traffic fiddling on the hand controller I ending up at the front of the queue waiting for the robot to change so I decided to try out my new setting. I pulled of slowly, slowed down to 1000rpm in 1st gear and floored it. The car hauled ass, I could hear the tyres squeaking through 1st , change to second and the tyres continued squeaking, sounded like they were about to loose traction. I was so shocked with the way it went, never felt something so fast in my whole life. The best part is the car has only been tuned to 1Bar so after that I have pulled back the timing by 4 degrees, which mean I could actually get more power  , not that I will ever boost 1.5 on purpose again.

he said it was fast with his t25 at 1.5 (jussus that sounds wrong)!

you gonna have a t28 and custom management, and a bunch of other awesome additions.

its gonna be a little rocket!

Wait Gary57

Are you still running the stock T25? Damn and you want to push 1 bar?
I wouldn't even touch 0.8bar for a long time with that turbo seriously.

Maybe a T25g but thats still asking for trouble
After 0.8 it starts blowing only hot air. I would keep it at 0.5 bar.

But Vl@de's going to have a kick a$$ set-up. its going to be nice allot of tail out action

Guys, my car can't seem to keep the boost. It's very inconsistent. And if it reaches max boost then you'll see the boost gradually drops while driving the car hard.
Secondly if I accelerate from stand still then I can't reach max boost but only about 0.6. I need to accelerate gradually to reach max boost.

Can't find any leaks on the piping. What can this be?

hijack!!!! [smilie=200sx_offtopic.gif]

but stock boost is about .6.

and the stock blower will lose boost gradually as the revs climb due to its small exhaust housing!!!

The harder & harder you drive the car, hotter the turbo gets. mine does the same thing, as the turbo gets hotter, the car doesn't pull as strong.

Bost drops off as the rev's rise. mine also stops at about 0.5 bar at redline.

who said i got a T25, got rid of that little hair dryer ages ago. I got 180 odd rwkw at 0.8bar so at 1.5bar it would almost double (roughly).
