I think everyone else puts the cars away for the December Holidays or something

Once again, tremendous run. Nearly got bust as they were trapping on the back road to Swarties. John was ahead and started slowing after a bakkie warned him. I followed suite and we crested the rise they were there ready to pounce By this time we had scrubbed off about 140 Km/h.Eish...
Swartkops gates were closed and locked so we tootled trough town to the East and Menlyn for coffee.
We got to Lynwood road after a sedate and peaceful drive through town...

when John pulled over with oil and smoke billowing from under the Celica...Fark, all we needed there.

Phoned my mate and they brought the roll back and off we went to the shop.
Turned out to be the sump plug for the gearbox had dropped out and dumped all the gear oil in Lynwood road.

A few minutes later we had the other , old box plug in and filled with fresh new oil..

Bam, back on the road and all fine...

LOL for once a small repair but major pain, thanks for all your help once again Barry.

I was expecting a photo posted of the Celica on the back of the rollback

I guess there was good reason in buying 2x5l of oil last week when the gearbox was fitted.

Most expensive oil change I have ever done LOL.\

Was still fun even with the drama.

and a lot lighter on fuel but my son did not enjoy driving it back from pta

only space for him was in the car on top of the tow vehicle LOL.
