This dam pipe keeps popping out

Hi guys, i noticed this before i bought the car and thought maybe it just needed to be properly pushed back it, but it slowly keeps coming out and i keep having to push it back in or else it spits oil all over my intake manifold and collects near the injectors, have a look:







Is this a common problem? how can i fix it? i can push it back in really hard but it will still slowly slip out again, i would think carefully welding the nipple onto the rocker cover would work. What do you guys think?

I dont think he means the hose is coming off.

Perhaps a dab of high temp sealent will do the trick, I had the same problem with the exhaust side, I just replaced the cover with a spare.

Yip i mean the alluminium nipple that the pipe fits onto keeps popping out of the tappet cover

mine came off on the exhaust side on the SR and I knocked it back in with small continuous taps from a hammer. It has not come out but I am watching it...

Make sure that the rubber pipe is not pulling it out. Clean both surfaces and reinsert with a thin layer of lock-tigh. Dont spill access lock-tight into the engine. Best would be to remove the tappet cover completely before doing this.

Phoenix s14 your method worked took my lil hammer and gave it a few gentle taps and it has not come out yet.
