Any lower and it will rub and yes I have on original wing too but the surgery needed(closing the old holes etc etc) was too much to do before Japfest... Wish I could find a front bumper.
Update on stuff I never got round to...
1. new front brakes going on soon (once happy with the setup I will sell the brembo disks and S14 calipers before everyone asks )
2. Some subframe bushes soon along with the power brace and front and rear strut braces.
3. New diff on the cards but the clutch types I think are just too expensive... might go HLSD (helical)
4. New additions to the boost arcillary soon... watch this space...
5. Possible VE conversion... depending if I can find all the parts... watch this space.
Got some results from the dyno day.
153.3Kw and 269Nm @ +/-0.65bar.
Was hoping for about 160Kw and 280Nm but was not far off.
Happy with it especially considering the low boost. That said I think I am going to build a new motor. Will get a import motor and start building on that.
New motor wish list:
New forged pistons
New head - ported and polished and rebuilt all new
New tomei valve springs
Tomei 260 cams
New bearings
Greddy oil cooler
Forged Rods
Cometic gasket
ARP bolts and studs everywhere
Well that is it for now and if not a det head then will do VE-T
Did some work on the intercooler pipes by redoing them completely and in all ally. Nice smooth bends and also changed the pipe run to also be as short as possible. here be the pics
Hot side:
Cold side:

Also added some nice bits and put a Greddy on my Freddy:
New HKS limited edition oil and radiator caps
Along with this there is also some poly bushes and new adjustable rear camber arms going on - busy currently with the bushes.
aep886 wrote:awesome^^ how much did you shorten the pipes by??? any difference when boosting?
I have found that you can shorten piping by as much as a meter. If everything is set up properly you almost wont notice a difference.
Now get a good flowing inter cooler core and the difference is markedly better..
Well have not had it out to test it. Initial tests with the testing setup was good. With the reduction in interior volume of the pipes and about 360deg less bends spool was much improved and the boost drop issues have also seemingly improved. Lag between gears is also better but definately changing the turbo for a ball bearing one once I can. Also finished fitting the bushes I had gotten a while ago. All that remain now is the new bucket seats and rear upper suspension arms. Always lots to do

Re-assembled the front-end today - Had to put back the crappy broken front bumper again and the broken right headlight too... now held on with 1 bolt no money to replace the bumper or the headlight.
Will have to get to it soon not driving it is affecting my moods...
