hahahaha.
i'm not alone.
DrG - it helps to have a size 19 ratchet-type spanner. to get to the water lines more easily. it would normally help to have a size 14 one too, but the nissan engineers made sure to leave too little space to fit a fantastic tool like that!
so it does take some time to turn a nut about 5 degrees, then remove the spanner and turn it over, then put it back onto the nut, then turn another 5 degrees... and so on, and so on!
horrible job!

LOL
I've been into the DIY thing a lot lately, but judging by the above comments, I will have to make se the following method:
tools required:
telephone
calibrator's number
couple of blue notes
method:
get in car
drive car to calibrator
leave car
pick up car later
let me know if I'm missing any steps here please.

depending on the number of blue notes, you can substitute "calibrator" with "VeeCee".
i could use a little extra cash!

ha ha......... may just take you up on that offer Vaughn. As long as the end result is the same.
kinda hoping it's leaking somewhere other than against the head. Although I do have those exhasut manifold gaskets from Nissan laying in my drawer.

The STD manifold is easy, once you have fitted a tubular manifold you will miss how easy the std one actually was.

The ratchet type spanners normally have a much larger outer "ring". Will ratchet gaurantee to ease the job or willit be a case where the outer ring is too big to get into the space in the first place?
