Car is at the tuners... and we still having no luck comunicating with the apparently 100% working ECU according to Haltech in Auz. We thought there may possibly be a fault in the new loom so i had a sparky give it a checkup and everything is perfect.

The car starts and will stay alive if you footsy the accel pedal as its running very lean... so atleast thats a good sign kinda. Just the com issue thats killing me :(

Ive emailed Haltech in auz as to what they suggest to try... waiting for a response.

besides the waiting for comport issue to miraculously sort itself out ... My Waiting for my fat Rota wheels has finally ended... yay ... well kinda

( i can only speak of my personal experiences, and voice my own opinions... read and take what you will from what i say here ) ... the wheels ive been waiting for all year experienced a severe price hike ...apparently due to the exchange rate .. pfft. Strangely enough it almost seems like just the wheel i wanted experienced this, or atleast was hit the hardest but i mean hit HARD 'almost doubling in price! its just strange how the wheel i wanted has now become for the rich and famous only... for instance the price diference between my wheel in a 9.5j and 10 is R500 + - but then amazingly the price diference between my wheel as a 10j and the 12j is almost R8 000 .. um - WOW spot the difference? Making it ... 22k + as advertised for a set of Rota.. add delivery and you spending 23k + on them... yes thats right .. Rota @ over R23 000 oh and thats if they ever arrive ... lol ... making Rota now as or even MORE expensive than many big brand 'forged' wheels.
Not saying i dont still like Rota wheels, coz they are dam good looking wheels... but at that price they need to be 'that' quality not just almost 'look' that quality not to mention shoddy customer care.. but im not even gonna go there. if i can find some Rota at the right price i will definitly add them to my collection of wheels but i refuse to overpay that much for a wheel made by the same process and finished to the same quality levels as all the 3k Autostyle wheels. Well 'f' that i say

Will refurbish the 18' 3 Piece simmons Split wheels i got recently ... so that they become seriaas faaaat.. at a fraction of the price of Rota.. lol. And in the new year i'll get some new rims ive been eyeing for a while on the side.... proper forgies.. stands up and again states.. " My name is Brendan and yes i am a wheel whore " .. hey we all have our weaknesses

... that said.. my 2x Blue 18x5114.3x9.5 Rota GTR-D's are for sale.. i havent mistreated them at all and they probably only did a couple of km's max the rest was on a trailer :( so ja.. nearly new and in the best sexy blue color! .. make me an offer can go with practicly brand new 225x40 tyres aswell if you want.. see for sale section.

Why not just buy the correct ones off ebay, often see brand new sets sold privatly for way less than the recomended retail, youll probably pay half of that once its at your door.
