I wont rely on something that could
A: Run empty in the middle of a boost session.
B: Blow a fuse
C: Blow a pump
D: Block a nozzle.

The big problem with all of the above is that you have to advance the ignition timing by around 5 to 10 degrees to actually get the additional power.
Imagine the consequences when the system fails for whatever reason.

Like I said a band aid and after fitting and tuning a system I have seen absolutely nothing to change my mind.

The water meth lovers can carry on with the stuff its not something I need or want in my arsenal.
Yes, Calibrator, I remember we have touched this one before. There are total reliable electronic control/methods available to prevent your concern on the above mentioned. Fully failsafe systems available. No hassels. As comprehensive as all these top of the range manage systems and alike. The technology is there.

Air temps as low as 5 deg are possible probably because your muti is spraying directly onto the IAT sensor thus giving you a very false reading.
No the water/meth does not touch the AIT sensor at all I have already checked to make sure. When I got the reading of 5 degrees it was a very cold morning ,16degrees to be exact, and the only reson the AIT stopped at 5 degrees is the Wolf was set to switch the pump off at 5degrees.
Hey theres plenty people that think water meth is the best thing on earth and it works for them.
I just dont agree.
Have you tried the system?? You cant disagree if you havent tried it.
Water spray over the intercooler?
Already started building this system  .
Supercharger for low down torque?
Considering it now but not sure if the benefits will be worth while as I already have full boost at 2500-2750rpm.
I wont rely on something that could
A: Run empty in the middle of a boost session.
B: Blow a fuse
C: Blow a pump
D: Block a nozzle.
But you will rely on an injector or an EMS or even a fuel pump?? My system has been running for about 7 years now without 1 but of a hassle.

hey warren,

if you want to return your sx to its FORMER glory, then dont listen to any of these clowns!!! 8) 8) 8)

if you want to go sideways, but dont have money for anything else but restoring your sx to its FORMER glory, then dont listen to me!

if you think an sr20det mod is cool - then you will love that more than 3 of our members have RB swops done. two of them have RB25dets, and one a RB20det. there are probably more out there going for it too! i've heard of a couple of s14 owners who have tossed that SR20det out of there, but i'm not sure if they on the forum.

have a good time on forum, but never EVER compliment widowmaker - we all try our best not to encourage him, unless he's asking about carbon fibre goodies.

and remember - your sx is your own; so do research, ask questions, take advice, but ultimately make your own decisions!!!

FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT 101, CHAPTER 1

To start off with, dear avid learner of finances, we recommend bying a good cheap reliable car, that is cheap and easy to maintain.

The authors of this book do not recommend 15 year old japanese sports cars

Ha ha, whoops!

Looks like i've failed already!

To be honest they not really that expensive to run unless they go down. Mine only cost me servicing and the mods I do.

I would reccommend saving up and rebuilding the motor , you should ave alot less hassels in the long run. IMO

When a Ems packs up it normally fails or the car runs rich when a fuel pump packs up the car normally runs kak or stops. When your water meth fails the car continues running and boosting except now the timing is advanced.
Have you tried the system?? You cant disagree if you havent tried it.
Been there done it got the T shirt I still think its a band aid and not worth the money on a decently modified car.

You like it thats cool I dont like it. Gert Voster(Aquamist) you, Chemcool and Nasa wont change my mind so lets agree to disagree.

@ warren

well depends what you want to do with it, would reccommend mr calibrator, I am just guesstomating(avnt seen my whole bill yet) but think it would be in the region of 20-30k for a major rebuild(depending on parts used etc..), including new pistons and so on. An expert would give you a better answer tho.

hey ero - thats a fantastic avatar dude!!!

(WARNING - This post is DRIPPING with sarcasm. sensitive viewers are warned to navigate away!!!!)

and warren is interesting in keeping it stock, so go toby's route. CON(vince) your friends with equipment to lend it to you for free.

then CON(vince) your friends with time and skill to remove and strip the engine for you.

then CON(vince) your wife to clean it for you with her domestic cleaning materials.

then CON(vince) your skilled friends to source you new reliable but cost effective parts.

then CON(vince) that same "friend" to take the whole lot for engineering (assembly).

pay the engineers and the parts sales people.

then CON(vince) your skilled friends to rebuild and reinstall the new motor.

then dont give back the equipment your borrowed.

total = less than 8 grand or so.

Okay that sounds fair. My only objection to water/meth is you have to keep filling it up. That really pisses me off cause the only thing I want to fill up in my car is petrol.
