Electric fan install and best Thermal fan switch

Post by FLANGA200SX »

Sup guys just want to know whats the best thermal switch to get for the electric fan operation and how does on install it.
Im gana run to 12" fans on a CA18DET motor boosting at .8 bar so what temp would be ideal for the engine to run.

Bud, look for something from an 80 Alfa Romeo or similar. You ideally want a switch that will switch on at or around 85-90 degrees C and off again at between 80 and 82 degrees C.
Remember that the rad switch temp range and the thermostat temps need to be coordinated. If your thermostat only opens at 90 degrees C the fan switch is going to be on all the time as the thermostat will not allow the temp to drop below the switch off temp of the fan switch.

Im running an stock thermo for the RB25 with the Alfa fan switch and its perfect.
