Sup guys so im busy getting all the relevant stuff to start fitting my FMIC and turbo but now my plan was to put a +-60mm boost pipe going to the FMIC then a 75+mm Pipe exiting into the intake. my question is?
Will this Cause Turbo Lag?
What size pipe is suitable for this application?
Car has a Piggy back Unichip with a WR380 turbo that im only gana boost at .08 for now and its the CA18DET.
Thanks guys the help will be much apprecaited.

Re: Boost Pipe Qustion
Sounds like your planning to go way too big, this will ruin your volumetric efficiency and increase lag.
If it was me, I'd run 50mm hot side 55-60mm cold side.
Im sure one of the smarter guys will come along to give you a proper answer though.

Yup think it is wAAAy big...
Agree with Daniel - 50mm hot 50mm cold with a smooth taper to the throttlebody size.

Re: Boost Pipe Qustion
Hi guys
I just want to know what is the theory behind cold pipe being bigger then hot pipe?
To my understand, when the air is hot, its expand. When its cool its contract.
So the air in the cold pipe should contract causing a drop in pressure.
Would it not be better to have a smaller cold pipe to compensate for this? Of course all there is base on my logic so if some1 know the true theory please enlighten me. thanks.
