After finding tons of filler on the car I decided to see what the body really looks like beneath 5 layers of paint with 4 layers of primer between each one. The left front fender, tailgate and bonnet all have between 8 and 10 layers of paint on them !
We found almost 20 mm (yes, 20mm !!) thick filler on the tail gate and about 10mm on the left front fender alone.
After panel beating and a lot of pinnin filing we are now getting a straight body here.
This amount of work has put us behind schedule by a bit but it needed to be done for paint that will last a looong time and not crack due to excess amounts of filler...
Once the panels are all straight we will remove what can come off for individual attention.
