CA18 Injectors

Post by Kadi »

Hi guys, i need one of the SX gurus to assist me. MY injectors are leaking badly and I need to source new ones. Unfortunately the agents want R3000 an injector ... I was wondering if there is an alternative.. one can source at a much lower price. I can get a brand new set for R2600 (440CC), but then I would have to fit a management system which cost about R6500. Hope you guys can advise me.. Thx alot for all and any input gents.

OK...440's will work with a chip....most common is unichip...you can use other more advanced chips but then you looking at the price of stand alone standard managemnt... Dicktator will cost you around R3500 installed...

Usually the dicktators installed for R3500 is for Standard, not wasted spark or 60-2. I would definately not go with Uni-Q though, my mate has one and it gives him endless kaka, and Uni-Q themselves said that they could not sort it out, so now he stuck with a Uni-Q that doesnt work on his car or allow real upgrades...

I could always ask him if he wants to sell it to u if u really want one? It is fully functional and nothing wrong with it, just wont run the way it's required to... But wouldn't do that to a fellow SX Club member...

There you have it, no clear advice, thats what we do here, we cause confusion, we all have different opinions and advice, good luck mate, we just left you all on your own.

What I can say is, I used a unichip for years in my preveous sx, never had a problem, some advice, there is alot of bad stories of brands not working and what not, some people have had bad luck but in general brands get a bad name because of idiots installing it and tuning it, whatever you do, make sure you go to someone that specializes in the installation of the product you choose.

I have said it in another post and I will say it again, we think we know but we know nothing!!!
