Funny wisteling sound coming from engine

Helo everybody. I am a new 200sx owner and my car is making a funny whisteling noise when I am riding. Can anywan tell me how to fix it and how much it will cost? I hev got the car for a guy in roodeport cos my grandmother bout it for me as a present. Is it going to be expenseve?

It could be one of many things, the big guns should reply pretty fast, does it make the sound when standing still idling?

Hello Grant222, No it only happens when I chang gears there is also a blue thing in tha car that looks like a fire extingwisher can I take this out or does the car ned this I have never seen before so I don't know what is it and I al also looking for seat for the back because this one it has not got its,

So the noise only happens when you accelerate and when you take your foot off the pedal you hear the noise?(if its the case its most likely the DV). Can you post a pic of the blue thing?

Lol I'm sure Grant is on the right track. It probably has a blow off valve fitted and that's what your hearing.

BTW I have a spare rear seat if your interested.

Start the car, take it out of gear and rev it while parked, and see if it makes that sound

No I have not herd it when I am parked like at a robot I will take a picture of the blue thing later how much you want for the seats? Do you also have spar thing that covers the roof? This one just have a white thing inside like the raceing cars ow and do you now sumone who can take it out and put thing back in for me? What is swartkopz

it wont make the noise just standing idling, when you rev it itl make the sound. its a racetrack next to laudium
