To Be Gotech ECU Or Not To Be

Post by Dumani »

Hi guys, I'd like to know if you've been running a Gotech ecu, how its performed and how long have you had it for.
Thanks [smilie=200sx_sweatdrop.gif]

Ive had 2 guys that had problems with Gotech loosing maps. Dont know if its a general problem.

But try and invest in a decent management system, especially if your car is a daily drive.

Nistune would be ideal but I dont know of any places that deal with it and ordering it will cost me north of R4000.

North of 4k? how do you figure that? It's just over 3k all in last i checked.

Your just looking for problems going for full stand alone system, unless you have mega bucks and just pay someone to do it all for you. This is just my opinion however.

Just fix whatever is causing the problem now and be done with it, its really not that hard to test the handful of sensors. A pain in the arse on the other hand...then i agree with you, mine has developed a bit of a idle problem recently but I couldn't be bothered to check whats causing it yet, I'm fairly positive its a boost/vac leak though.

nistune is a plug and play type

stand alone =pay for install or diy
tow car to tuner pay for dyno time to get it to run
pay to dyno to run good
every time you do a mod pay again for dyno time
along the way blow coil packs or ignitor
pay for new
pay
pay
pay

there is a few guys here that has had only trouble with it

ok ok i hear you guys. I wont fool around with the ecu. I want the car running as gud as new so what would need replacing on the engine or wat is most likely to give me headaches in the future. 190k on the engine and i have R5000 to spend.

Is nistune a actual fuel management system or more like a chip?
