Are you sure your MAF is broken? Have you now checked the error codes on the ECU? What codes did you get?

Since you still have stock management a Z32 or Q45 MAF will definitely NOT work.

If you want to get rid of the MAF completely, your only option is to change management to something that works with a MAP sensor.

Yeah I have a ca18det. Reason I'm looking for an afm is that my car is stalling and I've recently changed the ignition coils and the car worked fine for a while and now the problem has made a return. When i rev though the engine works but soon as i come to a stop the engine cuts out.

I checked the ecu for error codes and it gave me in mode 3 code 55 which ,according to the service manual, means there's no faults being picked up.

And the little cartoon on the service manual was all smiles and the manual made it sound so EASY to get that damn ecu out of its lil' compartment. Getting that damned thing out was the hardest thing I've ever done...until I had to put it back in. Almost left it on the floor. Sorry for rambling on guys, just very ticked off

Well if thats the case then the MAF should be fine..... Might just be a little dirty if it is that....

Might be a vacume line givving issues or the cas that is out by a bit...... My bet is vacume leak though with what your explaining.....

but will check a few things out when I see you

Finally. No error codes, this is a good start.

Now clean the MAF
Check for boost leaks
Check vacuum lines as POWDER says
Pull plugs and check their condition

I'm gonna take a stab in the dark here and guess that the ''plugs'' you guys are reffering to are the spark plugs? And if thats the case they were changed recently wen i took the car for a service

Check plugs again, might have one faulty plug. Also make sure that the gap on the plug is spot on.These cars are very sensitive to plugs.

Dont get frustrated so easily, take it one step at a time. You will get there.

Buy some carb cleaner clean the the MAF,
if it doesnt work -
Get new plugs and GAP accordingly,
if it doesnt work -
Check all of the boost and Vacuum pipes.

Get back to us then.....
