why did you mold the sound to the carpet in the boot

No i didnt. What i did was, i used foam to fill the spare wheel
Area and put a ply wood on the whole surface of the boot to serve
As a insulated bottom. Uswd fibberglass to finish it off and construct everything on top of that. So its solid and the build in box is air thight.
