Ever tried transporting 4 x tyres inside an S14 ?? Eish, only just managed this today. Collected my new tyres this afternoon-KHUMO Ectasa somethings..
I have them on my Alfa GTV6 turbo. Very happy with them.

The strange and rather embarrassing thing is that driving my car today the chinese tyres were rather good ! Not bad as they initially were in the damp and wet, and bloody grippy in the dry !

The old Bridgestone`s I got the car with could happily break traction with some provocation and zip along for 50 meters or more.

The chinese stuff today broke traction for perhaps 3 meters and then howled before gripping like a bastard ! I left two black 265 wide stripes on the smooth tar and then shot off down the road.

Well, I can only hope to have the new tyres fitted on Saturday at the soonest.
Tomorrow will see what the chinese tyres are like day.. 8)

On another note, the engine would continuously miss and pop at idle.
I checked everything and most of the ignition system is good. I then delved into the cas sensor on the front of the head.
Opened it up and immediately saw the problem. Now, usually this should not affect the signal except that here the chopper wheel had eaten into the trigger led. This had left a lot of dust and residue on the led .

Basically the chopper plate was bent and the high spot was touching the pickup sensor.
No biggy but enough to aggravate the phase and trigger signals..
A bit of tlc and she was back together again with revised settings on the trigger angle.
Problem solved !

An awesome run was organized by the Dbn. guys for us visiting this last week.
Some of the best roads were chucked at us and it was absolute fun..ask Driftzzzz...

The Opel Turbo was behind me and I was rather chuffed that he was falling behind with every corner we took. I was the man !! Until he told me that my tires were chucking up boulders at him and that he had to take it easy !!
Damn, my self hero status took a beating right there ! :)

Mmmm, yea, for big hp it is..I want response from this engine and I will still make decent krag.
BTW, It is a Gt 3076 R...recieved it today when I got back.
The response at sea level is just plain insane on the RB !.We are definitely short changed here at altitude.
I drove Rat,s RB with the GT30 and the response was tremendous for a daily...
