SR20DET GEARBOX CONVERSION

okay guys ....how do I make the Skyline gearbox fit my SR20DET and which box is it ? I have been reading about the guys doing the upgrade because the standard box can't take the punch !

RB fatboy box with a SR20DET bellhousing.

only bellhousing... how much kw you pushing? what do you mean can't take a punch? are you doing 300kw@wheel?

I just noticed last night while running full tilt that I couldn't hook 2nd, 3rd , etc. I had to wait until the gearbox slowed down. The car has a stage 3 or 4 ( 9 pad ) competition clutch, so I am not sure where the fault lies ...yet ! Maybe the box just needs a workover. I just thought that maybe it would be better to upgrade than to overhaul.

Are the bellhousings interchangeable between the fatboy box and the SR ?

No you have to make up a adapter plate

Also prop mod and maybe mount brackets

Thumb suck on cost , gearbox , adapter plate , minor mods ?? Give or take a few cents ?
