Thanks, I will try that this weekend and see what happens....
I dont have any leaks in the vacuum pipes so I doubt its that, the car runss fine all the time while driving and is fine when starting and warming which tells me its something to do with the valve that opens when the aircon is on or fan ...

Hi Guy's,
I am thinking of selling these alloys and tires, or just the alloys.
The tires are Regal made by Dunlop and are the same as the Dunlop 6060 tire, they are 6 months old and are still new as I hardly drive my car at all, once a weekend is alot...I live at work:)

I am just taking a gues here but your fuel pump has been replaced before and the unit might not be sitting correctly, or the person who took it out was a bit rough with it and hurt the slider connections.
I am pretty sure that its just an adjustment in the tank, remove the unit from the tank and do ...

its all very well to say re-torque them but how the hell do you get into there with no spce to do so, plus they have lock plates holding them in place so you'd really need to get in there to loosen the plate before you could even try tighten them again, then you dont have spanner space to tighten it ...

I have your fix....
I have just had to replace my cars fuel pump and while doing so I investigated the cause of the reserve light not operating correctly and I think I have the answer for you all....
I have noticed that there is a small black wire at the lid to the tank where you go through to get the fuel pump ...
