i'm thinking of just doing the intake and a back box !
but then doing in with nxgen!
the chip do no?

If you're going to upgrade your exhaust, rather go for a larger downpipe and a full 76mm exhaust. A backbox is going to do nothing to increase your power, will just look sweet and change your exhaust note.
What do you mean by intake? Like a cone filter? Unless you're going for huge power the standard airbox will be fine as standard filters generally have superior filtration (they filter out more kak) over cone filters.
I don't understand your last sentence, do you plan on just wiring in the dastek uni-chip and then just hope for the best? I would not recommend this approach as it was specifically tuned for that scooby.

Diesel power, hmm, yes, I think I'll have some of that.
1. Start with a full exhaust and downpipe. Get this made up and fitted at a reputable exhaust shop of your choice.
2. Then install a front mount intercooler. You can get kits from various local sources. You could install Water/Meth injection instead. Speak to Freddie about this if this option tickles your fancy.
3. Then chip. Ross at RBTS is apparently quite clued up with Dastek if you decide to go that route. Do not go to Dastek themselves.
I wouldn't bother with the filter. Rather get a proper exhaust sorted, far better performance increase.
These mods will make for a nice increase on a budget. Once these are done focus on suspension and brakes before going for more power.
Don't rush into a second-rate mod just because you can't afford what you really want right now. One step at a time, even if you spend the entire R6k on the downpipe and exhaust as long as it's a quality item that's going to last a long time.
