TEIN S springs for a 200SX S13

Hello peoples,

so I've been looking far and wide for TEIN S springs for my SX, and I've found quite a few places that sell them (all overseas).
I've given up on my attempt for a set of Eibach's when I realised they don't make them for the S13. :( I love Eibach.

Do you guys know of any local suppliers that sell the TEIN's? I want to try Import Parts, but I don't know if I'll ever receive them,
and above that, if I can get hold of Jerry. I have spoken to a forum member, but the price is way over what I want to pay.

Shipping from anywhere overseas won't be a problem, but I'm seriously taking the prices in consideration. The cheapest I have found
them for was R1134.00, excluding shipping & import tax. I doubt local guys will get them for under R2000, but I'm hoping I'm wrong.
I know a set of Eibach's for a 350Z can be bought for R1500 locally, as I've had first hand experience with that. If it reoccurs, is another question.

I hope anyone could shed some light on the subject.

The rand/$ has been screwed the last few weeks so you not gonna get it any cheaper.

The same or more I would guess.

I've managed to find them for R1,140.62, with R174.34 shipping.
In total: R1314.96.

I have no idea what the import tax will be, but if this whole process works out, I'll let you guys know.

$130 / 4 springs = $32 ea

$32 - sellers proft @ +/-15% = $27,60 ea

Teins R&D, cost of material, packaging, stickers, brand etc...does not add up

I know what you guys mean, I'm waiting for more confirmation. It does sound way too good to be true!
I'm also quite skeptical of this... :\

As expected, this seems to be a fluke. It's a shop in Europe selling these, but I haven't heard anything from them for a while now.

Time to move on and wait and see what'll happen to the exchange rate.

I have dealt with Jerry at Importparts when I bought TEIN coilovers earlier this year, and he is a bit slow. I think they wait untill they get a lot of orders to keep the freight down cause they can then order in bulk. I was looking for springs for my car as I did not really want to fit coilovers, but Jerry could not get(?) I went onto FRSports website on Friday 5th November and ordered new ignition coils for my SR20 Blacktop which I have just bought, and I collected them at the Post Office last Wednesday. The genuine Nissan part in a Nissan box, for half the price of Nissan in SA. A week and a half from USA. Not bad. Maybe do the same and order direct. Way to go for me from now on. Cheers.

Importing usually ends up being so much cheaper, but A LOT of research has to be done on any part ordered.

I've heard bad & good stories about Import Parts, mostly bad. I know of a few people who are still waiting for parts months later.
I will not pay Jerry until the parts are in his shop, and I will not pay more than what I was quoted on.

There's many online shops overseas, unfortunately they don't all ship to South Africa, or to places where I know people overseas. But I'll have a look at FRSports as well, thanks!

I now know I can use TEIN or Eibach, because Eibach make springs for the 240SX with the KA24DE (37kg heavier), I just have to check the strut specs etc, but at the moment I'm highly doubtful anything will be different.
Just waiting and seeing what happens with the exchange rate.
