Personally I think petrol is petrol and I dont care which it is. I just dont like BP, they are the slowest and have the worst service ever, but my petrol account is there so I have to use them.
Engen is tops for service along with Exel and Sasol.

i didnt know there were any exels left!!! thought sasol bought them all out!
anyway, i prefer to use shell or BP. used to use sasol, because they had the nicest facilities and advertised their fuel with the number 100 next to it. but that was probably optimistic at best!
BP has a poor grasp over management of their service delivery. some BP's are great with service, and others are really bad. a good example is in edenvale. that exact service delivery phenomenon occurs in two BP stations within a kilometer of each other!!!
shell has a horse running on water, keeping up with a formula one car, in their adverts!!!!

BP stands for Best Petrol. I did a test once with my 1600 Honda. I'd fill up the tank, reset the odo, then drive till empty light came on. I'd then fill up with another petrol and repeat. Not sceintific, I know, 'cos you don't drive exactly the same route each time, but basically the driving conditions were very similar. The results were as follows (all leaded 95 petrol at the time):
BP - most mileage out of one tank. Got about 15km per litre!
Shell - second best
Engen - same as Shell, tied for second place
Caltex - worst of all brands. Got 80km less out of a tank than BP!
Didn't try any other brands. Sasol seems to be up there with BP and Engen.

i really like shell, the guys from the station close to home know me, every now and then they give out free stuff with a fill up (small things like the daily paper) ...
and one guy in particular (a petrol attending) really thinks that the 200sx i drive is the shizzzzzz.
so i tend to go there. or the BP just before i jump on the crappy freeway at beyers!!!

It must be your driving style change. Petrol is petrol, I dont care where it comes from.

i used to prefer the fruity aftertaste of caltex - a flamboyant bouquet of nutty and sweet, balanced by a hint of habanero.
i dont trust the green colour in BP (oh and the P in the name)
but ive heard that tecron can cause warts and piles - and if you smoke then you may grow a new arsehole or two

theres no gas like AVGAS - all the other ones come from the same pipeline when the ship gets here - the pipe splits - one to the BP tanker, one to the Caltex tanker...
just like beer and toothpaste and soft porn background music
