boost to low

Hi guys I'm a new member here, I recently got an 200sx standard ca18det the guy I bought it from dropped the boost to 0.2 I want to get the boost back up, this is my firts turbo car don't know them yet, can I adjust the boost myself or must a take it to a dyno shop to get it done thanx

you can adjust it yourself buy adjusting the wast gate on the turbo. how sure are you that the guy adjusted the boost or he could be making an excuse for a leaky exhaust manifold

Previous guy dropped the boost ?? Mmmmm..... Does it still smoke at 0.2 bar ?? :wink: :wink:

Only smokes a little when I start it in the morning,,,,
You guys think there's something wrong with it?

lol, i agree with bigkriss it sounds quite odd :? i cant think of any reason why someone would drop the boost below the stock level on a stock standard ca18det, im afraid theres most probably something wrong there, turbo shot, leaky manifold, leaky boost pipes or intercooler....... could be a few things, plus i havent seen any adjustments for boost on the stock T25 turbo, you can connect the vacuum line from the waste gate actuator directly onto the vacuum nipple on the turbo, perhaps the boost cut solenoid is faulty or something, but if its smoking then you gonna have to get turbo checked

There is no adjustments on a stock setup. Stock boost 0.6

There was an screw tipe thing on the waist gate I just turned it a little

Oooo, the dreaded screw thingy !!!!!
Many a good engine blown with this thingy already !

You guys know where I can get other bumpers for the s13? Or a bodykit perhaps, the ones that are on now looks like it have been resprayed a few times

And its not the stock t25 its the t28 from the sr20 motor
