@ P3g4sus

It is important to remember that no body wants drifting to be controlled by money but without money there is nothing to drift on.
no tracks no roads no tires.

You are more than welcome to phone me regarding the diff and why I recomend it so strongly.
will pm you my number if you want.

Oky Im no Expert, but will share what I know.

The softer Suspension is meant for the car to Squat down under Acceleration, This is firstly for your fastest possible speed to the first corner, Secondly, When you are on the power in the middle of a drift, and you lift off, The Suspension will Expand giving the car more Momentum, The Japs call it "The Fly"

The suspension must be hard, but soft enough at the back, But underbraking the nose must not dive down too much, it must be ably to Dive a little for the weight transfer.

I also heard that you need an anti roll bar at the front, but not at the back.

I have done some research for more steering lock, there is some hectic mods you can make to get lekker lock, for very cheap!

NO SWAY BAR AT THE REAR.. what ?! wow thats news to me. my setup is the wrong way around then :(

I can understand the "fly" .. after revving the kak out of it near the end of a corner you lift off the gas to let the tyres bite making the car jump / launch too the next corner ... but are you saying the front suspension should be setup actually stiffer than the rear to do this?

If you guys just took a drive to the end of Dez'z drag strip, you would have seen the "Ebisu" circuit, its all dug out, we drove it in a bakkie as its all sand currently, it is MENTAL!

An update from me on my current suspension setup which performed brilliantly last night on the Kaihatsu S14 Silvia.

Coilovers: BC BR-RH 8KG Front 6KG Rear
Arms: Stock lower arms, adjustable 3 arm kit (per side) at rear and caster arms at front.
ARB: Stock Anti Roll Bars front and rear
Wheels/Tyres: Front: 17" 9J ET-5 225/45/17 - Rear: 17" ET15 225/45/17 or 235/45/17 (width of wheel varies depending on which set but I tend to stay with the same tyre size, 225's preffered)

Settings:
Ride height difference: 1.5cm lower at rear than the front, might go a little higher in the front for the next time for more grip at rear.

Front:
-4 degree Camber
0.1 Toe out
7.2 degree Castor
10 clicks from soft on the damper

Rear:
-0.3 degree Camber
0 toe
20 clicks from soft on the damper

This setup was faultless last night! The car was an entirely different car and performed like never before. Also gave me so much more confidence in the car to throw it in VERY hard.
