Suede Steering Wheels

I am going to get my steering wheel recovered (thanks again Freddie), but I want it recovered so it looks different.
I was thinking Suede but the guys that recover it say that it rubs off and looks kak. Karting steering wheels also rub off but then you drive a Kart hard. Also the M3csl comes out with Suede, dono if it lasts though. So then I thought I will go half suede and half leather but for it to look good the join would be where my hands go.
Has anyone else recovered theirs?? I think my last resort would be black leather and red stitching, but suede is so sporty and cool

genuine suede can't really rub off, but you start to polish it
No idea how you gonna cover the stock steering wheel, then again I only have a small clue how it looks. Have never owned a stock one
